Chapter 11. Complicated Situations
Juliano
The silence at our table weighed uncomfortably. I was taken aback by Yoon-Han's revelation, as he no longer seemed relaxed or cheerful. His face now displayed a worried, sad expression.
His food remained untouched for a while until he raised his hand and called the nearest waiter to clear our table, leaving only our drinks. He took a generous sip from his glass before clearing his throat.
"For a few months now, he comes home late, no longer seeks me out, and always seems too tired to spend time with me. I've done everything to please him, but nothing seems to work."
His gaze wandered around the pool area, finally stopping on my face. I could see how broken and insecure he was. It reminded me of Theo and what I put him through.
"But did he tell you the reason for reaching this extreme point?" I asked, anguished by Yoon-Han's deteriorating state. His face was turning red, and his eyes seemed on the verge of overflowing with tears.
