Chapter 14. Jealousy

"No, please, Rafael, don't think that. Juliano is my friend, and look, that guy over there is his husband," Juliano's friend spoke, pointing at me. His gaze was fearful, and I could sense some of his desperation, so I waved to the other man, who seemed to relax a bit.

"Yoon, look at me, is he bothering you?" the other guy asked, and Yoon-Han shook his head, clearly lying. Rafael laughed at the situation and walked away. Juliano hugged his friend and didn't look back at me. I didn't know who that person was; I had no idea where Juliano had met him, but unintentionally, I felt a bitter taste in my mouth. Insecurity was making me feel excluded, betrayed.
