Chapter 29. Ivan
I haven't spoken since he said that we needed to talk, and he hasn't expanded on that comment. The silence grows between us, and it’s starting to make me anxious. This is a vampire sitting across from me; he’s a vampire and my fated mate. I have no idea how I’ve gotten to this point or what I’m expected to do from here. I don't know anyone who's been mated to a vampire, so I have no knowledge to draw from.
I'm not sure if I should look at this as a punishment. If you consider the fact that I rejected my first mate and then everything I've done to secure Lincoln, maybe this is just my karma. Maybe this is what happens when you anger the Moon Goddess.
