After that incident, the king and queen decided to keep me from working at Acero as an intern for a few days. They informed Mr. Facundo about what happened, and he apologized, saying that he was the reason I had to return to the palace alone so early, when it was still dark, and before the butler could pick me up.

But of course, the king and queen also knew what I had done that led to the incident, so they quickly forgave Mr. Facundo and even told him not to blame himself because he wasn’t the one who followed and chased after me suspiciously.

The king didn’t tell me how long I wouldn’t be going to Acero. He just said that someone had been assigned to watch over things there and that they had planned something that might serve as a trap for whoever had scared me.

The king also didn’t share any details about the ‘trap,’ but I hoped it would work because I was sure that the person who chased me and the one who would try to harm me and Jackson were
