The moment he did that, my whole body weakened, as if every ounce of strength I had suddenly drained away. My fingers instinctively found their way to the back of his neck, my arms draping over his broad shoulders for support. He kept going—slow, deliberate, intoxicating. And worst of all? I responded.

Panic surged through me. We were inside an elevator, for god’s sake. Anyone could walk in at any moment. But that fear was nothing compared to the way my body burned with the desperate, unexplainable need to keep kissing him.

What the hell was wrong with me?

The soft chime of the elevator jolted us both back to reality. The doors slid open, and we immediately pulled apart, pretending as if nothing had happened. My breath was ragged, my lips tingling, but I forced myself to straighten up. Luckily, no one was outside waiting to get in, meaning I didn’t have to completely die
