The awkwardness of the room was only felt by Sophia. The police officers were all looking at Bree and the latter was smiling smugly, hands in her pocket and head raised up high as she enjoyed the girlfriend privilege Andrea just served her.

The phone rang right on time to dissipate such an almost hostile atmosphere. Marcus took the liberty to answer the phone, maybe because he was the one standing closer to the phone.

"You really should've let me arrest him, now his predicament is on you" Bree said as she blamed the chief for what happened.

She was in no way gentle with her tone or her gaze. It made the chief's heart ache a bit as the guilt washed over him.

"Another body has been found" Marcus suddenly announced before the Chief could retort to Bree's blame.
