Chapter 4
Lucy could brag all day about how amazing and talented Bree was, most people being in Lucy's situation wouldn't really adore Bree for the fact that her parents just suddenly adopted the girl and due to Bree being older, her parents often put her in charge and Bree was a strict one, but it wasn't so for Lucy. Her heart was so big it could care for everything and everyone, the only people Lucy didn't like we're the ones that bullied Andrea, other than them Andrea had never met anyone Lucy hated.
"I'm telling you, you should really try talking to her, you won't die" Lucy concluded her long speech and took a seat on a chair, as they arrived at the cafeteria.
Andrea was over the moon, because finally Lucy's long speech had ended
"Lucy, why do you worship her?"
For as long as Andrea could remember, she had never seen Bree show concern for Lucy or did something that would make Lucy her devoted follower. It was all a mystery why Lucy held Bree in such high esteem.
Andrea never really expected a direct answer from Lucy, because Lucy herself was clueless about the reason she worshipped Bree.
Venerating Bree without realizing it became a hobby to Lucy, the pleasure she got from it was insurmountable.
She was practically swimming in the ad******n.
"I don't worship her" Andrea gave her a look "I just think she's too awesome, so awesome that this world doesn't deserve her" Andrea guffawed.
"What the fuck is that, that's worshipping dumbass" Andrea said after her laughing fit.
"It's not worshipping, it's 'Holding Her In Reverence'" They both laughed boisterously for a while.
The first person to run into the cafeteria was a blonde, dark rooted, boy, he looked slim but muscular, the body of any regular high school jock. His face carried the expression of fatigue and worry, his eyes were of the same color with Lucy's, some of his features were the same with Lucy's, if one were to look at his side profile, his chiseled features looked almost the same as Lucy, a bit feminine, which gave him the hot but at same time, a cute appearance. However, his sturdy physique did a great job at overshadowing the feminine features, he looked rather charming from every angle.
This boy was none other than Lucas, Lucy's twin brother.
Lucas stopped at the table Andrea and Lucy were sitting while laughing like two high donkeys, the sudden appearance of Lucas seemed like it had no effect on them, they completely ignored him.
"What the fuck is all the laughter about, what's so funny that you're laughing like two donkeys injected with serotonin?"
"Your sister is such a dumbass" Andrea said after catching her breath then she scrutinized Lucas "what happened to you, why do you look constipated?"
"Constipated my foot" Lucas took a sit next to Lucy and pointed a finger at Andrea "I heard you're going around threatening people that you'll kill them"
"Aigoo, Lucas, I didn't threaten everyone, all I did was threaten one insignificant individual, she was really getting on my nerves" Andrea tried to justify herself, but she couldn't help the slight curve of her lips. This was Lucas' poor attempt at scolding her, this was how he showed that he cared about her, but he wasn't like Lucy who would defend her when their mother scolded her, Lucas would shut up and look away. However, Andrea never once anticipated his defence, she was weirdly satisfied with the weird show of affection she received from Lucas.
"Stop behaving like a psychopath, no wonder that you're alienated by people" Lucas continued his scoldings like a big brother.
"Lucas, whether or not I'm alienated, I don't care, the opinions of others doesn't matter, I don't care about them" Andrea said in a manner that leaves no room for contradiction.
"Exactly, people don't matter. '' Lucy started grinning from ear to ear like she achieved something big. This was the deal with Lucy, she was always filled with smiles.
Irritated, Lucas rolled his eyes, he didn't want to assent to their reasoning, so he proceeded to vent his gall out on the Innocent Lucy
"What are you grinning about, why weren't you in class, I was just coming from your class but you weren't there?"
Stupefied, Lucy asks "you have my schedule?"
Lucas rolled his eyes again, he had unintentionally given away the fact that his twin meant a lot to him, and as a result, Lucy would never let him hear the end of it. An Idea came to mind, he shouldn't be the only one going down.
"Well, guess what, I'm not the only one who has it, Bree does too"
As she heard that piece of news, Lucy almost shrieked in joy, but then realized the bad part of it.
Before she could come up with an excuse, conceivably, a lie, a gentle but sonorous, accented voice was already hovering around her like it was everywhere, but it could've been her mind playing tricks on her based on how terrified she was.
"You were told to leave the class?"
Lucy slowly raised her head and came face to face with her adopted older sister Bree.
From the angle Andrea sat, she had a front row seat to the show. She had wanted to laugh but she couldn't, not because she was scared of Bree, but because Lucy was sent out of the class due to the fact that she had been worried about her, if Andrea were to laugh now, wouldn't that make her a bitch?.
"I was worried about Andrea so I became restless" Lucy finally found her voice and almost yelled at Bree, as she tried to defend her actions until Bree gave her a look. Lucy cowered once more and that bravery disappeared into thin air
"So the teacher sent me out"
"Worried?" Bree asked confusedly as she turned her head to Andrea.
Andrea had surprisingly become the main character of the show. She chuckled nervously and tried to avert Bree's sharp gaze that made her extremely nervous.
"Now I know how Lucy feels," Andrea thought as she scratched the back of her head.
Andrea could've just simply explained things to Bree, but this was presumably the first time she would be speaking directly to Bree. The both of them had never once engaged in a conversation. Andrea found it awkward that their first time would be as a result of this situation.
She held her tongue.
Bree must've noticed her hesitation, she looked away from her and sat down. This gave Andrea the opportunity to examine Bree.
This fierce, aloof teenager was undoubtedly a beauty, like a fine jade dusted with powder. She looked as if she must've been blessed by the Greek gods before she was born, she looked too beautiful to be real. Her pale skin like silk, vaguely reflected her surroundings, but that could've been due to the sweat. Her cheekbones weren't as high as Lucy's, but they were very pronounced. Her lips were slightly full and were a perfect heart shape, her long lashes rested softly on her skin. Her nose was straight and pointed, Bree was a perfect creation.
No matter how many times Andrea must've undersaw Bree, it wasn't enough to take in her beauty, her thirst for the beauty of Bree was insatiable, especially when Bree looked like this; hair pulled up in a ponytail, but tendrils loosely falling over her face. Her eyes were closed, quietly relaxed, her breathing was erratic, tired and her body sweaty.
Andrea slowly bit on her lips whilst she tarried at the beauty of Bree, completely estranged from the world. She could hear the incoherent voices of Lucas and Lucy, but nothing could pull her from her trance.
"Andrea" someone must've called her name
"Andrea" the person called again
"Andrea"
"Andrea" Lucas practically yelled her name before he got a response, Andrea turned to him "what's up with you?"
Mortified as a result of being caught in the act of practically drooling over Bree, she nervously cleared her throat and sat upright.
"Nothing" she waved him off, then turned to check if the slight commotion had distracted Bree.
Her breath got hitched when she met Bree's stormy, green eyes.
"Oh fuck"
