Elizabeth bit her little finger nails as she nervously waited for Mathew to answer his phone. Biting her nails was a habit of hers whenever she was nervous about something.

After the night she had called him to come pick her up but he couldn't because of the rain, she had not heard from him again.

She didn't want to come off clingy but lately she has been getting weird vibes from him. They didn't have any issues but it felt as if they did. It was starting to seem one sided and she didn't like it. She had never felt this deep connection with someone before. In the past she had ex but the feelings she has for Mathew was far more greater than she did for any of her ex's

She heaved a sigh of relief when the call went through. "Hey," she said with a smile on her face when Mathew answered the call.

"Elizabeth, how are you?" He asked softly, a tone that always sent shivers down her spine.
