Chapter 21

"Hi there Mathew." Elizabeth called with a beaming smile on her face.

As promised she had followed Victoria to go meet Mathew and be officially introduced to her as her best friend.

Mathew smiled back when he saw her. "Elizabeth." He replied to her.

He looked away from Elizabeth to Victoria and his smile grew wider as he walked closer to hug her. He heaved a sigh of relief as he held her in his arms. "It's not been too long since I last saw you and I miss you badly." He said to her before kissing her on her cheek.

Victoria blushed. "I missed you too." She whispered back to him.

Elizabeth cleared her throat as she watched the couple display affection for one another. "Someone is watching and that's me." She spoke, making Victoria giggle.

She pulled away from Mr Smith who reluctantly let go. "Stop Jay." She whispered to him, calling him by a nickname which made his heart melt.
