The atmosphere in Modestria was tense as Gerard and North returned to his mansion. As they entered the grand foyer, William awaited them with a nervous expression. The weight of unspoken words hung in the air. Gerard acknowledged William's presence with a nod, his curiosity piqued.

"I hope you had everything under control, William?" Gerard inquired, but the silence that followed spoke volumes. William, visibly uneasy, struggled to find the right words.

"Why are you not talking? What's wrong, William?" Gerard pressed, his stare intensifying.

"Ye-yes, sir," William stammered, unable to articulate the brewing storm.

"I guess you are tired, William. Get some rest. I need to speak with Ivy. I need to know why she thinks I wanted to kill her." Gerard briskly entered the mansion, leaving William grappling with his unspoken concerns.
