…Few Weeks On…
The morning sun spilled generously through the large glass windows of the living room, bathing everything in a golden glow. Amelia sat back on the wide cream couch, her frame soft against the cushions, a sight of pure motherhood and poise. Her hair, swept into a simple bun, framed her face which now carried that faint weariness only mothers understood, but still, she looked graceful, dignified, almost serene.
Two bassinets rested a few feet away, draped in soft blue blankets. Inside them, her newborn twins lay sleeping, two tiny bundles of joy whose synchronized breaths made the house feel warmer than usual. One stirred, kicking softly against his blanket, before settling again. The other stretched his little fingers as if reaching out for the world he had only just arrived into.
