No, no, no, there’s no way that this is happening, accomplice?! I did not even do anything! I ran my fingers through my hair, I moved it to my face, robbing my hand over my eyes and chin like I was trying to get some sort of sticky dirt off.

My mind ran haywire, my eyes stung. I mean Lucian had said this, he had confirmed to me that everybody thinks that I am his accomplice. He had basically told me that there was no escape from this, that I had been dragged into this like a lamb to the slaughter house.
