Chapter 139. Black as the Darkest Night

Leo pursed his lips as he saw Alana standing in front of the main door of their large house. For the past few weeks, his wife had been diligently welcoming him home from work, and as she promised earlier, she would continue to do so whenever Leo returned.

And Leo, as a husband, certainly felt that Alana's attention warmed his heart. Receiving such small attention made Leo's happiness level increase significantly. The small attention from Alana made the fatigue accumulated on his shoulders throughout the day at the office simply melt away.

Leo immediately stepped out of the car, handing his briefcase and jacket to Alana. Then, he gently kissed her forehead. "How was your day?" Alana asked, prompting Leo to wrap his arm around her shoulder, then leading her inside the house.

"As usual, the world is getting busier after these past few months. Edgar submitted reports from the project he's currently working on," Leo said, causing Alana to examine her husband's face, no
