Chapter 66. Wish Only a Nightmare

Leo jolted awake from his slumber. As the nightmare gripped his sleep, his entire body was drenched in sweat, his heart raced, and even his breath was labored. Seeing the horrifying event as if it truly happened to his wife, Leo then roughly rubbed his face, glancing out the window where a heavy rain with thunder was pounding Singapore.

Immediately reaching for his phone to contact his wife, Leo attempted to call Alana several times, yet her number remained inactive, prompting Leo to let out a long sigh, hoping what he just dreamed didn't actually happen. Leo hoped his wife was always safe and sound.

Alana surveyed her surroundings, a secluded area rarely traversed by people, convincing her that the heinous act by the man had been planned from the start. Alana then loosened the remaining bindings on her hands, observing the man with sharp eyes that met his gaze directly, with a screwdriver still lodged in his back. It seemed he struggled a bit to reach it.
