"Hello Aunt, where have you been?" Alana asked directly as soon as their call connected.

"Sorry dear, I just finished watering the plants. What's up?" Rose asked casually, causing Alana to snort in frustration.

"Aunt asks so casually what's up, I thought you were busy finding out about the scoundrel who has ruined my life. Turns out you're just leisurely taking care of your beloved plants, of course," Alana said, making Rose on the other end grunt in annoyance.
