Chapter 107. His Darkest Obsession

“You’re the only thing that can stop me.”

Those words. Those confessions of mine.

She hears it. She feels it.

And I know I’ve just revealed too much.

She doesn’t move. Not a single muscle.

She just stares at me with those wide, shaken eyes……eyes that have haunted me every night since she walked into our lives…..eyes that make it impossible for me to be the cold, calculating heir I’m supposed to be.

She finally opens her mouth to speak but nothing comes out.

Her lips part again, trembling, and a ripple of fear travels through her body……so subtle, most people wouldn’t notice.

But I do. I see everything when it comes to her.

The basement is too quiet, too intimate now that anger and violence have drained from it. Shadows stretch along the gray walls, long and hungry. The dim light glows behind her, framing her like a temptation carved out of innocence and defiance.
