Chapter 78. Hell Is About to Set Loose

After the police leave, I return to my room to take my bath after Riccardo said he’s going to cook a decent meal.

I stay under the shower in the bathroom for long, hoping the water washes away every thought of Alessandro, every guilt.

I want to blame someone but I don’t know who to blame.

I can’t blame my stepbrothers because I know they’re just protecting me. They came to my rescue. And I’m quite sure they didn’t plan to kill him. Things just escalated so fast.

The water does nothing to wash off every feeling I have, so I turn off the shower and walk out of the bathroom.
