The smell of fresh coffee and warm cornetti drifts through the kitchen…..buttery, sweet, filled with honey that melts the moment you tear one open.
My hair is still damp from the shower, my body still humming with every memory of Riccardo’s hands, his voice, his confession.

I step into the bright, modern dining room to find Vincenzo and Nico already sitting at the long, marble table, arguing about something so serious.
They stop immediately when they hear me walk in.
“Is everything fine??” I ask, glancing at Vincenzo, then at Nico.

Nico just grins and pulls out a chair for me.
