Scarlett’s POV

“Scarlett, are you alright?” Laci ran to me.

“I’m fine, it’s no big deal,” I said.

“Sorry about that,” Niyol said.

I forced a smile and nodded my head.

“Come on, I’ll go help you clean up,” Laci offered.

“No problem, I’ll do it myself.” I stood up and started walking out. At least it would give me some minutes away from her. I met Chester at the door and he looked at me.

“What happened to your dress?” he asked.

“It’s nothing,” I answered and left.

I went to the bathroom and wiped myself clean. I stared at the mirror to pull my thoughts together. If I make any mistake here then our cover would be blown. I had to tolerate this girl as much as possible today.

“I can do this!” I exhaled and stepped out of the bathroom.

I wasn’t surprised when I saw her outside, waiting for me. I pretended not to see her and made my way to the room.
