Chapter 59. New House

Avita breathed a sigh of relief the next day after the landlord checked the apartment and discovered nothing was wrong. 

When he was finished, Avita enthusiastically gave over the keys to the flat. A vehicle was waiting for her outside, and it was in this truck that she found the furnishings she was using in the old apartment. She didn't need this furniture because her new house was fully furnished. 

She didn't want to be reminded of Patrick by retaining this furniture, so she devised a strategy. When the truck driver noticed she was gone, he started the engine and drove away. Naomi arrived to pick up Avita, so the two easily trailed behind the truck. 

"Are you absolutely certain you want to do this?" Naomi asked, still not believing Avita's decision.
