Chapter 52
Anna’s POV
We stepped on the warm sand, the most gentle hue of gold, almost earthen and muted. The beach stretched out alongside the water, there are constant friends, tourists, families, and group of people, either chatting away, taking pictures, riding horses, eating, or even playing games in the most reassuring way. As if to soothe the sand.
We settled on our mats, my eyes moving from sand to stone, from rock pools to breaking waves, in the gentle spring of sunshine. I felt as if I was swimming in the briny aroma while sunbathing.
“Where the hell are these guys?” Jess queried the very moment we saw them coming.
The guys walked in dramatically, most of the buttons of their shirts were left open to gawk at as they sauntered in nosily. Ian has his hands wrapped around his girlfriend as they isolated themselves.
“You guys are late.” Jess scolded.
“Yeah, more like three minutes late,” Ian said rolling his eyes as he sat on the mat.
