Alaric’s words were final, he wasn’t going to settle for anything less than a face-to-face with Dom, which Freddie couldn’t allow. These were risky times. No one could be trusted, especially a werewolf of Alaric’s history. It was time Freddie took the reigns of the mission back into his hands.

He stood to face Alaric and spoke with authority, “Alpha Alaric, I respect you, but now you listen to me.”

Freddie took a deep breath and silently mind-linked Dom, the whole situation. Upon receiving, orders conveyed the message, “Alpha King just apologized for his lack of availability but I am here on his behalf. If you want to negotiate anything, do it with me.”

Nora could see it was not the response Alaric was hoping for and was getting impatient with Freddy and angry as well. She quickly pulled Freddie away and whispered, “Fred baby, let me handle this, please. I know Ric, you don’t. Please, have faith-”
