It was six in the evening and countless guests arrived at the senator Chancellor's house. Among all these distinguished guests there were well-known actors, singers, businessmen, sportsmen and famous socialites from Cyprus. There were international guests as well.

 The annual ball was held every year at the senator’s place to raise funds for various purposes. And it gave a chance for the people to show off their wealth and status.

It is basically a formal event characterised by social dancing and an auction to raise money for charity. But the current year's annual ball was to promote the candidates who were contesting each other for the coming election.
