Chapter 8. Staying Away Is Bad (4)

"Good morning, son," I entered his little room, seeing only his little legs up in the air.

I approached, and there was my baby with his typical smile on his face, his little hair sticking up.

"You didn't wake me up in the middle of the night, love?"

Strangely, Jiwan is following this routine. During the day, he's more active, even though he takes a few naps, and at night, he sleeps peacefully without waking up even once.

"Shall we take a bath?" I lifted the little bundle from the crib and went to the ensuite to prepare his bathtub.

After checking the temperature and making sure it was just right, I started the bath, which was not an easy task. Half of the bathroom was already wet within the first two minutes. Jiwan always kicked and smiled every time the water splashed on me, but it seemed that over time, he was getting better at controlling the water's reach and force, even reaching the walls.
