The next few weeks passed in a pleasant, almost surreal blur. Stella spent three days trying to convince me that ivory and cream were different colors; Garrison betrayed me by agreeing with her. His mother called to ask whether I had eaten, his father developed strong opinions about appetizers, and Wyatt tried to ban Garrison from the playlist.
It was ridiculous. It was normal. After six years of missing memories, fear, and a kidnapped child, I loved every stupid second of having problems that could be solved with flowers and cake.
