Chapter 77. Banished

As the entire final year students of Thomas High School were all getting ready for the Prom, Clara received a call from Helen who has been staying in New Orleans with her father after the incident that took her family.

"Hey Clara, how are you doing?" Helen asked over the phone.

"I'm doing great," Clara replied.

"Don't tell me your flight to Texas has been counseled," Clara added. "About that, that's why I'm calling. My dad never liked the idea of me visiting Texas again after what happened," Helen said.

"But you are not just coming to stay. It's only tonight," Clara replied.

"I'm sorry Clara my dad is a strong will man and I don't know what else to say to him," Helen apologizes.

"Is alright," Clara replied. "I guess you will make it up to me someday," Clara added. "I sure will," Helen replied.

Not quite long after the call, there was a gentle knock on Clara's door, "Come in dad," said Clara.

"How could you possible tell it's me?
