Chapter 132
I sat across from my boss, tension thick in the air as he delivered the news that would set in motion a dangerous course of action. The lines etched on his face spoke of determination and resolve, but also of the weight of responsibility he carried.
“Alex,” he began, his voice measured yet filled with an undercurrent of intensity. “The rival gang has refused our offer for a trade. They leave us no choice but to take matters into our own hands. We must attack their base of operations and retrieve Sasha.”
His words hit me like a hammer, the gravity of the situation sinking in. Sasha, the woman I loved, was held captive by these merciless adversaries. The thought of her suffering in their hands fueled a burning anger within me, and I knew that we could not afford to wait any longer.
“I agree, boss,” I replied, my voice steady, my eyes locked onto his. “We cannot let them dictate the terms. We will strike at their heart and show them the consequences of crossing us.”
