Chapter 40. Poisoned

Mr. Beaumont places a plate of 6 different cookie types in front of me. Cookie models for the fundraiser.

On the subject of the fundraiser. The cheer team decided on baked cookies and the entire staff of teachers agreed. Meaning now we were faced with baking dozens of cookies by tomorrow.

I passed them back to him. "You try them first, what if you guys poisoned them" My voice was laced with pure sarcasm.

"Very funny." He remains serious and so do the rest of them.

"Jeez, tough crowd." I retrieve the plate of cookies.

Mr. Montgomery places a cup of milk in front of me as I bite into the first cookie.

"Not bad." I take a sip of the milk. "Lemmon right?" I face Mr. Montgomery and Mr. Beaumont- they nod. "You guys do know how to bake cookies. What a shocker." I was just annoying them at this point.

"Via." I hear Mr. Everhart warn me and I roll my eyes.
