I look around and notice that my friends are long gone. I'm probably going to show up to the rehearsal baptism late.

"Via, ask Kol to take you home. If you're going to get high, at least do it off school property." She furrowed her eyebrows. "Get your hands off my car window and go."

She frowns. "Fine then, bye cranky pants." She walks back to her spot next to Kol and whispers something in his ear.

He looks in my direction, then simply nods and jumps off the truck. "Hey, I gotta take Via home. I'll catch you guys later." He takes his keys out of his pocket.

My phone dings, but I ignore it.

"It's all good. I have to meet Ethan's parents today anyway," Aiden says as he gets off the trunk and helps Ethan do the same.

"Bye, guys," Via says as she gets into the passenger side of Kol's truck.
