Chapter 25. The Range

Cinnia's heart lifted at the sincerity and intensity in his eyes. "Likewise. I feel like I know almost nothing about you save for the fact that you switch from ruthless to doting in a matter of seconds," She joked. 

Denzel chuckled, "I'm a multi-faceted open book, Princess. It's up to you to peel back my layers." He sent her a wink, hinting at the double meaning behind his words. 

Cinnia caught it and lowered her eyes to glance at his lips before bringing them back to his darkened green eyes. "Looking forward to that."

"Which gun do you prefer?" An attendant asked Cinnia and Denzel. 

Cinnia stared at the display of guns, tapping her index against her chin. "The Ruger. 22." She decided. 

"Wonderful choice." The attendant handed her the gun, safety goggles, and electronic ear muffs.

Denzel took an Ak-47 from the rack, set it on a bench, and turned to the attendant. "Leave." With a deep bow, the male attendant left them a
