Chapter 111. Pent Up
Lea’s POV
His scent filled me with comfort as I buried my nose over his neck while he nibbled at mine. His lips slowly found their way back to mine. But before he could kiss me, I grabbed his face and started kissing with all my vigor.
This time, the kiss was desperate, fueled by years of longing and heartache. Jake responded with equal intensity, his hands cupping my face as he deepened the kiss.
“Lea,” he breathed against my lips, “I have missed you so much.”
I did not know how to respond except by kissing him harder. Only the heavens knew how I had suffered. It was as if I had died a million deaths only to be resurrected again.
We stumbled to our feet, our hands exploring each other’s bodies with an urgency that bordered on frenzy. Jake’s lips never left mine as we moved from the living area towards the kitchen. There was no logic behind why we did it or what we were doing. It was just our passion guiding us.
