Chapter 74
Max's POV
I sat on my bed, staring blankly at the wall in front of me. I couldn't shake the feeling that Red was drifting away from me, becoming more distant by the day. It seemed like we were growing apart, and she didn't know why.
I felt lost and confused. Red was one of my best friends, and we had been through so much together. We laughed, cried, and shared our deepest secrets. We had always been there for each other, no matter what. But now it felt like Red was slipping through my fingers.
I tried to pinpoint the moment when things had started to change. Had I said something wrong? Had I done something to upset Red? I wracked my brain, but I couldn't come up with any answers. All I knew was that Red was pulling away, and she didn't know how to stop it.
I felt a sense of dread in the pit of my stomach. What if Red didn't want to be friends anymore? What if he had found someone else to confide in? I couldn't bear the thought of losing my best friend.
