Chapter 70. Unity's Undead

Aria returned to Sue's ward. She heard conversation in the room and pushed the door open with a bang. Her eyes dimmed when she realized it was just Jerry talking to another patient. But this was a private room; she frowned at the back of the intruder.

Sinbad inhaled the intoxicating scent; he knew who had entered. Yet somehow he couldn't turn around to face her. He had heard the full details of what happened from his father. To say he was shocked would be an understatement. He had long been suspicious of his ability to read aura, but he never imagined it was because his biological mother was a witch. And she was the reason Aria's sister is in the hospital and unconscious.

He didn't have to turn around because Aria walked over to face him.

"Oh, I was wondering who it was," she said drily. "Why are you here?"

"I... I needed to see you and apologize."

He had a cast around his neck, but aside from that, his injuries had healed very quickly. Aria frowned.
