Chapter 5

She took a sip of her beer and cast a glance over her shoulder to Kyle. He was chatting up some blonde, not paying much attention to her. The fingers of jealousy tried to tease her, but she refused to let them get to her.

“Sure,” she said with a smile. She swallowed the rest of her beer and set it on the counter. “I’m going to go dance. See ya after awhile,” she said with a wink.

Kyle looked over her shoulder at the man waiting for her. Though his face remained somewhat neutral, she could tell he didn’t approve. Good, I don’t like the Bimbo Barbie you’re talking to either.

Lily allowed the man to lead her onto the dance floor. Immediately they became lost in the sea of people. The guy moved in close, putting his hands on her but keeping them at a respectable distance. He was a good dancer—a really good dancer. They danced for four songs, but before long she began to grow bored. She’d sneaked a few drinks from the waitress’s tray as she walked by, but no matter how much she drank tall, dark, and handsome was still tall, dark, and boring.

She’d worked up a good buzz and was about to excuse herself when she felt a hand slip around her waist from behind and rest on her hip. A hard chest was pressed against her back, and the smell of familiar cologne welcomed her. He began to move against her, keeping up with the sensual rhythm of the song. She smiled as she allowed herself to melt into the body behind her.

“Thanks for keeping our girl company, man. Have a drink on us,” Kyle said in clear dismissal. Travis appeared beside them. The guy nodded and smiled politely before taking off.

With a content sigh, Lily rested her head on Kyle’s shoulder while looking up at Travis, who had moved to stand in front of them. She was teetering on the edge between tipsy and drunk. Her inhibitions were beginning to slip.

“Thanks.” She breathed a sigh of relief.

“Looked like you were about danced out with that guy,” Kyle said by her ear as his hand tightened on her.

“Yeah. I’d rather watch paint dry next time. Good grief, he was dull.”

“Well,” Travis said as he took a step forward and placed his hands on her hips. “Why don’t you dance with us for a while,” he said as his hand skimmed her hips.

She looked over her shoulder to Kyle, who was always the voice of reason. He was smiling at her, slow and sexy.

What the hell, why not! “Sure,” she said with a shrug. She tried to sound casual because her nerves were raw and her heart was racing. Their hands felt as if they were burning holes through her dress and to her skin everywhere they touched.

The pulsing music stopped and was replaced by a slow and sexy song with a beat that was perfect for dancing. It practically oozed sex as people all around them began to rotate and move their hips against their partners. This was a little new for her. Sure she’d danced before, but never with two guys—and never ever with her guys.

She stood awkwardly for a moment, wondering exactly what she was going to do. Travis smiled at her, causing her insides to clench. His blue eyes were slightly hooded, but there was something different there. He was different.

Leaning forward, he placed his mouth close to her ear. “Relax, tiger. We’re just dancing,” he chuckled as he pulled her forward and nudged her legs apart with his knees. His rock hard thigh pressed up against her, and before long they found the rhythm. Travis’s hands stayed on her waist as they ground against each other, dancing and rolling to the rhythm of the music.

Behind her, she could feel Kyle moving closer, his mouth hovering just inches above her ear. His hands skimmed along her hip as he pressed himself tighter against her back. She was there sandwiched between the two hottest men in the club.

Everything around them ceased to exist. It was just the three of them, but they were no longer best friends. They were three dancers on the dance floor rocking and pressing against each other. Allowing the music to sweep her up in its spell, she lifted her left arm and hooked it behind Kyle’s head, threading her fingers through his silky smooth hair. His mouth came down and brushed against the tender flesh of skin connecting shoulder and neck—the exact same spot he’d brushed paint away from earlier.

His lips burned on her. Her nipples tightened, and the juncture of her thighs was beginning to pulse. Holy shit, what was happening? Feeling in the moment, she arched her back and pushed her backside back, slowly rolling it against Kyle as Travis’s thigh moved between her legs. Desire was burning through her and leaving her panties soaking wet.

When she looked up through her lashes at Travis, he was staring down at her. The hunger in his eyes was palpable. He tucked that lip between his teeth, and she groaned. He moved closer, pressing his mouth to the soft skin of the opposite shoulder Kyle was teasing. His rock hard thigh pressed harder against her core, rubbing back and forth against her clit until she was panting. She could see Travis’s erection bulging through the front of his jeans.

Behind her, she could feel Kyle’s cock growing firmer. Her entire body trembled. They moved on the dancefloor as one unit. Kyle’s hand coaxed her back and forth against Travis’s thigh. He was helping her along as his hand grazed against the side of her breast, teasing her through the thin fabric. His fingers grazed against the back of her neck, pushing the tiny hairs away and pressing soft kisses there.

Her mouth opened, and a soft sigh slipped past her lips as her eyes drifted closed. She didn’t know what the hell was happening, but she didn’t want it to stop either. It was the first time in forever she’d felt such an intense feeling. It was as if she was being burned from the inside out and she had no way of stopping it. She’d never been so turned on. She felt as if she were going to combust.

The music stopped, and slowly the guys moved away from her. She faltered a little; thankfully Travis was there to catch her.

“Easy there,” he said with a wink. His hand lingered on her hips while her fingers laced with Kyle’s.

Lily’s head was swimming, but she wasn’t sure if it was from the alcohol or the sudden burst of excitement brought on by . . . Travis and Kyle. What. The. Hell?

For a long moment, they just stood there staring at one another, all seemingly shocked about what had just happened. “Damn, Lils, I didn’t know you could move like that,” Kyle said with a nervous chuckle.

She smiled. “The same could be said for the two of you.”

They laughed, and she shifted anxiously from one foot to the other. Why were they looking at her so intensely?

“Do you guys wanna get out of here?” Travis asked, ticking his head over his shoulder.

“I think that’s a good idea,” Kyle said huskily.

“Okay,” she agreed. Though she was a bit worried about what was going to happen once they left. Hell, she had no idea what had just happened in a room packed with people. What in the hell was going to happen if they were alone?

Nothing is going to happen—you’re overthinking things again.
