Chapter 73

I had the impression that the link was wide open. I needed to get home to my spouse and baby. These next few days will be difficult.

I went upstairs to my parents' suite. I suppose it was now simply my mother's. This is something I'll never get used to.

I rapped on the door and waited for her to respond. My mother drew me into the suite as the door swung open.

"Look what I discovered. "It was in a false bottom drawer," she explained.

She handed me a ledger with names and dollar amounts written on it. I couldn't make any sense of it. She started digging for more false bottoms and came upon a slew of letters, documents, and blueprints.

"What exactly is all of this?" I inquired.

"I'm not sure. All of this is new to me. "I believe we'll have to tear this room apart," she added.

"These appear to be dungeon blueprints." There are some rooms that we haven't found yet."
