Chapter 29

Helena and Leandro stepped out of the room, hands entwined. As they reached the living room, they found Regina sitting on the couch, engrossed in her favorite soap opera. However, as soon as she noticed the couple's presence, her eyes widened, excitement lighting them up.

Helena and Leandro exchanged a knowing glance before approaching Regina. Helena lifted her left hand, displaying the engagement ring, while Leandro held her other hand.

"Surprise, Mom," Helena said with a nervous smile.

Regina let out a joyful and surprised scream, quickly getting up from the couch and rushing toward the couple. She embraced them tightly, her arms wrapping around them affectionately as she celebrated the news.

"Oh, my God! You're engaged! This is incredible!" Regina exclaimed, her eyes shining with emotion.

Leandro was excited, seeming comfortable with Regina's reaction. He also had a happy smile on his face, ready to share the moment with his future mother-in-law.
