I stood from where I sat with furrowed eyebrows and my gaze fixed on Chad. “What is she doing here?” I was thrown back. My feet were unable to consume my balance, and I felt trapped. I wanted to be out of there the quickest that I could.

My eyes went back to Rebecca when she broke the silence for a confused Chad, who could not stop scratching the back of his neck. He was clearly not expecting her to show up here and was not taking her entrance lightly.

“Oh my God, you?” Rebecca gasped. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t know you were here. Chad and I were just having a little fun time together. I literally thought the pizza man was here.” She smirked, folding her arms across her naked body.

“Nikki, it’s not what it looks like, I promise.” Chad stepped forward and put his hands on my shoulders.

“Look, Rebecca is only here because we wanted to talk about our plans for her pregnancy.” He rushed the words, breathing heavily as he spoke.
