Chapter 40

Edward's point of view.

I kept tossing and turning in my bed since the smell of burnt food wouldn't let me sleep, I sprang out of bed and angrily dashed out my room.

It's been a very tiring night for me, His Majesty made me patrol the east borders till 5am as part of my punishment for taking Ara to the seer's lair.

And right now that I was finally trying to catch some sleep, the royal chefs wouldn't let me -their burnt food's smell has taken over my room.

"What the hell are you cooking, Wayne? Do you wanna..." I choked on my words and halted abruptly.

My legs stayed rooted in their spots at the sight of someone whom I least expected to see in the kitchen, in fact, I would never, even in my wildest dreams imagine he'd be here.

"Y-your Majesty?" I stuttered.

Am I seeing things? Or could it be I'm imagining Wayne being His Majesty because I'm mad at him for making patrol the east borders?.

But my doubts were cleared when His Majesty tu
