Chapter 19

Toby

The time had come for the move. Toby eagerly loaded up Jeremy’s car with his belongings as he was sure Sam was doing the same at his end of the dorms with Mike’s car. They had won the apartment they liked the most and were moving in that afternoon. They hopped in and drove to the apartment address where Sam and Mike were already unloading.

“Hey, Toby! Got everything?” Mike asked.

“Yup. Just one dorm room’s worth of stuff!”

“The furniture’s arriving in an hour. Will you still be here if we go back for more?” Sam asked.

“Yup. I’ll meet them at the door,” Toby said, wishing he could give Sam a good morning peck on the cheek.

Instead, he picked up a box and carried it to the elevator, followed by Jeremy.

“Which is your room?” Jeremy asked as they moved Toby’s belongings in through the front door.

“First door on the right!”
