Chapter 33

After I had taken my seat and arranged my books for math class on the desk in front of me, I saw Mr Ralph take his legs off the table. He cleared his throat loudly as he stood up from where he sat, keeping the mug on his desk.

After looking around briefly, he sighed loudly before he spoke;

"Why is everyone not here?" He asked the class as a whole but no one said anything, we just looked at each other.

I looked over to Uche's seat and the two seats behind his were empty and the one next to him was also unoccupied.

The class door opened and Uche came in, walking past the teacher and towards his seat. Nick also came in, following behind him was Kim and the boy who Uche was talking with just before I went into class.

"Our kings decide when they want to come to class, don't they?" Mr Ralph said sarcastically with a stern look at the group of boys where they sat before picking up a marker and turned to the marker board.
