Chapter 34
It was a different thing singing in the shower or singing along to a song when you were alone, lying in bed.
"Well, like Ms Miller always says; everyone has a voice, you just have to explore it."
"Ms Miller?"
"Yes, our music couch and instructor."
"Okay, do you also sing?" I asked her.
"Yeah. I am part of the altos." She sounded proud to be singing.
"Oh."
"What tone do you sing?" Casey asked as I started to round up my book and pen that I just used for this past class.
"None." I told her, I lied because I knew that I most likely won't be told to join on their singing if I couldn't sing.
"That's not possible." She laughed shortly.
"I'm serious." I needed her to believe me.
"What do you mean none? There is no way you don't have a voice. Just sing so I can hear you. Ms Miller can probably help you sing better."
"No, you don't get Casey, I can't sing, I sound awful, so very awful. Trust me, you don't want to hear me
