Wendy peeped from her door hole to see who was knocking on the door, but she couldn’t see anything because it was dark outside.

She paced to and fro in her room, debating on whether to open the door or not, when a knock was heard on her door again.

Wendy jumped in shock again.

“Who is that?” She asked in a trembling voice.

“It is me!” A voice said outside.

“Who are you?” Wendy asked restlessly, She was not calm a bit when she heard a woman’s voice, instead she was more frightened.

She knew that there were female police now. Who could reassure her that the person outside was not a female police officer?

“It is Sherry’s mom” Beauty said

Wendy heaved a sigh of relief when she heard this, but she became frightened suddenly when she thought of something.

What if the police asked Sherry’s mom to lure her out, and she would get arrested the instant she opened the door.
