Chapter 177
Olivia raises her eyebrows and I smile, tossing the pillow back at her with a force, and then another. She retaliates, throwing one back and it becomes a cycle of pillow fighting and giggles. My phone begins to vibrate on the empty spot beside me, that's when I hold a pillow to my face, “Wait...Wait.” I laugh, dropping it to pick my phone up. Cassian's name is flashing on the screen. I've spoken to him a lot lately, our conversations have become part of my daily routine. “Cassian,” I answer, out of breath from laughing.
“Sweet love, where are you?” he asks, his tone low. It's very unlike him, he sounds sad, contrary to his usual jolly self. His pet name for me carries not the enthusiasm I'm used to receiving, and it instantly worries me.
