Chapter 30. The Agreement

Opportunity is a thing currently being offered by Emma to Andrew. Since their conversation with Maya the other day, the young man has been showing up at Emma's house every morning.

"What else do you want coming here? I don't want to meet you." Emma always greets Andrew's arrival with a sour face.

"Your self-confidence, it's so high that it could make it into the Guinness Book of Record. The person with the highest self-confidence in the world," Andrew sneers. "I didn't come here to see you. I want breakfast."

In contrast to Emma's cold reception, Mona always greets the young man warmly. Not content with just showing up in the morning, Andrew has also started appearing in the evenings.

"I want dinner. Aunt Mona invited me," says Andrew casually, observing Emma's surprised reaction to his presence as she returns from work.
