I Can’t Make You That Promise So Easily

Sarah stared at him. Though she pitied the state that he was in, she still remained standing. She didn’t know what to say to him. “I needn’t sit down. I will leave after I’ve said what I need to say. We are not right for each other. I won’t ever be with you, so I’m not going to do what you ask whether I caused the car accident or not. I have promised Emma that I would see you, but we have broken up over whether you love me or not.” Perhaps Mrs. Thomas was right after all. They were not right for each other.
