“Are you sure you want to do this?” Steven asked, not minding the fact that Roger was seated across from me. Roger’s eyes were fixed on the briefcase Steven was holding; I couldn’t let him suspect a thing.

“Steven,” I called out to him, “let’s proceed.”

“Yes, Steven, let’s proceed,” Roger said sarcastically, rolling his eyes as Steven opened his briefcase, bringing out the documents and setting them down before us.

“Ethan, are you sure about this?” Steven asked, doubt written all over his face.

I nodded. “It’s the only way to ensure Liv’s safety. Transfer everything to her name. Make it look seamless.”

“Ethan, this is risky,” he warned after weighing the options of my well-thought-out plan.

“Risks are a luxury we can’t afford right now,” I said. “Olivia’s safety is non-negotiable.”

“We’ll create a parallel document, mirroring the original, but redirecting ownership to Olivia Stone.”
