Chapter 3. Devil
Angel got ready to meet her friends at midnight.
Angel didn't want to wake up anyone as she silently got to the entrance but the heel sound made her stop in her tracks.
"This is not your guest house where you come and go." Angel turned to see her stepmother, Evelyn, who had a very dangerous expression.
She didn't even ask Angel where she was going at midnight.
"Mom, please. I have to." Her words died when Evelyn slapped her hard on her cheeks, startling her. It's not new but Angel is not a normal girl to cry for such small things. She turned and started cleaning the vessels as if she was programmed for that. She turned to see her mom with a flashy smile.
"May I go, Mom? It is my birthday. My friends are waiting for me." Angel asked with her innocent smile but Evelyn left the place arrogantly not even wanting to see her face for more than a second. For Evelyn, it didn't matter at all where Angel goes or what she does. As far as Angel does household chores, Evelyn is fine.
Angel sighed tiredly. Evelyn always loved her sisters, Celena and Emma but with Angel, it was only pure hatred.
Angel's little emotional monologue was disturbed by her phone call again.
She got inside her car and attended the call.
"It will be my 18th birthday," Angel squealed as she stepped on the accelerator. Alina in the call yelled at her to not drive with such speed. They all are waiting for her in the restaurant to celebrate Angel's birthday exactly at 12'I clock.
"I am almost there, doll" Angel peeped outside as she could see the five-star restaurant where they decided to celebrate her birthday.
"I am here." Angel waved her hand at her friends and she failed to notice the gust of wind that appeared before her car. Alina widened her eyes at the sight as Angel swiftly turned her gaze to the front and that's it. She felt as if her car collided with some powerful vehicle and she could feel floating in the air rotating to see all angles of that restaurant.
More than the fear of losing her life, Angel could feel someone's pull from the upside. She was grabbed with so much force. Her whole body stopped functioning as she found herself thrown out of the car swiftly and she didn't land on the road even after that.
"Angel" Angel could hear her friend's louder scream before she closed her eyes completely.

Far away in the woods. A man growled loudly as he threw all the items here and there in a fit of anger. He looked like he had been waiting to capture Angel for so many years but couldn't do so.
Joe stomped his foot with his failure of this attempt. His rage to capture Angel and to torture her is too much as if it has been bottled up for so many decades.
"How could I?" Joe asked in a loud-pitched tone as the small insects and birds died on the spot with the intensity of his voice alone.
"You got a chance to capture her on her 18th birthday." The old man, who is a priest, spoke in a calm, composed tone.
"What can I do now?" Joe asked with a glitter of hope that he could somehow capture her.
"Wait for your next turn.'' The old man didn't regret his words but he growled again with fiery eyes.

In hospital
Angel groaned in her sleep as she tried to open her eyes.
"You are safe. You are fine. Don't worry. Don't stress." Angel heard Alina's sound from a pit of the tunnel. She gently opened her eyes and looked around.
"Where am I?" Angel asked as his eyes widened in shock realizing the accident. She expected some pain in her body but found it numb.
"Am I paralyzed? I can't feel pain? That means, my hands and legs are now no use. How will I eat now?" out of all the questions, she feels like asking this alone.
"I will feed you," Jason replied with a sad face.
"But you always snatch my favorite food. How can I trust you?" Angel cried now and Alina gaped at her friend. Can't she act mature for at least one second?
Before Alina could tell Angel, Nick came running inside and grabbed Angel for a long hug.
"I was scared," Nick mumbled with teary eyes and now Alina too joined the hug with tears in her eyes. Jason engulfed them all in his big arms with tears.
"Am I fine?" Angel asked to check her hands and realized that there was not even a single scratch in her body.
That was weird.
Flashback ends.
Angel, Alina, Nick, and Jason have the same doubts as to how she can survive such a big accident and have no scratches at all.
They know that she fell into a big bunch of cotton vehicles. But even then also, it felt not so real to them. Her car was completely crushed to even believe that the driver of that car survived.
It's something they can't explain practically. But yeah, there was some force that saved her that day. But who was it?

Wilson Premises:
"Go to hell with the event." The voice echoed all through the building as the manager gulped visibly. He shouldn't have even come to the office today when the news flashed all over.
"Our king stars, Edward Wilson and Nathan Wilson are attending the grand wedding of Natasha." The news channel was repeating the same news again and again and the manager eyed his secretary to switch off the television. The guy in front of him was glaring at him with his fiery eyes.
"Edward, please. Listen to me once" Edward's friend, Danny came inside to calm him down. But Edward threw the phone in anger.
"I will never attend any fu*king wedding with this b*stard" Edward yelled at Danny who sighed tiredly, while they both were disturbed by the continuous rustling of Lays packet.
Edward threw one dangerous look towards that person who is not even bothered to be a part of this drama and left the cabin.
"Nathan, buddy. At least don't instigate him." Danny threw his hands up in frustration. Nathan wiped his mouth with tissues and looked at Danny with a confused innocent look what did he do now?
"When is the wedding? I will be there earlier." Nathan showed his toothy grin and Danny is at least relieved to see that he is not creating a ruckus like his brother.
"I don't care who is there or not. I will do anything to maintain my popular image." Nathan added with a wink and left the cabin. Danny looked at the manager to continue with the work while he took his mobile to send a message to the important person who could tame these two weirdos of this world.
Maybe HE can put some senses inside that empty floor of these weirdos' heads.

Sometimes, you will never know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory. Memories live more than anyone in this world.
The memory seems so fresh and good that he chose to at least have them in his dream. He twisted and turned to have the same sweet dream again and again with no boredom. His lips twitched up to a smile to see her so lively.
Dream:
Can the sun be a little late today,
For my princess to relax away
Hope she gets all the happiness
Chasing away all the emptiness.
The girl woke up with a frown on her face. That was too cheesy to wake her up.
"Damon, that was so gross." She whined with a pout as Damon touched the tip of her nose which was flaring in anger.
"You should be privileged that the Mighty Damon Augustine is waking you up." Damon and his self praises have no limits but he loves whenever she flares with his self praises.
"Cara is too precious and you should do this" Cara screamed while Damon left the place with a smirk.
Dream ends.
Damon's lips had a content smile. It felt as if he had that conversation with her the previous day. Her innocent face shone brightly and he wished to capture her in that dream itself.
His room was designed like a mini heaven in that palace. His face glowed in sunlight as it hit directly. How brave that Sun is? He swayed his finger right across the sun and soon a black screen covered his bed to let him sleep a little more.
But today is not his day as the lion from the eastern side of the forest started roaring with all his strength.
"Sh" Damon shushed it in a low voice and the lion sat there having his mouth shut like an obedient kid. He can't anger Damon early in the morning.
Early in the morning a weird girl spoiled his sleep and now this lion. Damon sighed tiredly.
"We should leave." Damon heard the words as a soft groan left his lips. He needs to have a sound sleep but guess it can't be done.
Before Mac could pack the stuff, Damon leisurely made the things fall away from his grip. Mac sighed tiredly. Damon is too naughty sometimes. The first time he did this with Mac, he was too terrified and had a fever above 105 degrees Celsius. But now Mac is used to it.
"Can you stop doing this?" Mac whined when Damon pulled the towel from his hand with his one look.
As for Damon, even his breath can control the things around him but for Mac, he has to use his hands and legs which makes it so tiring to work around Damon.
"I envy you. You are doing everything with just one look. And here, I had to work like a donkey." Mac sighed tiredly.
"Don't ever envy me, Mac. Everything comes with a price and my price is too heavy to bear." Damon's deep words made Mac silent all of a sudden.
Mac is a normal human being. But he was Damon's companion in every birth. Damon used to hunt down to search for Mac once he died. Both have no clue why it's happening again and again. But they are following as if they are directed like that. Mac used to regain his previous birth secrets once Damon revealed his powers to him. This has happened to him more than 8 times till now. It's his eighth birth and if anyone tells him that there are seven births to a human, he would smash their head.
Damon squashed the air in front of him to read the new message on his laptop and Mac is there admiring his magic powers. It's as if he became a toddler to watch something so interesting with Damon.
"Humans are so complicated," Damon muttered under his breath when the content of the mail made his mood off.
"Let's go before everything falls out." Mac knew what exactly came in that mail and that's why he came there to take him to the main city.
