Chapter 2. A Crazy Encounter

“I will never forgive or forget this.” The girl heard his voice far away inside her head as blood oozed out from her mouth resulting in her coughing more.

“I love you, Danny. I love” Her words left unsaid as her eyes closed finally to let her rest in peace. The pain from her body vanished away giving her the pleasure of dying at last. But the pain he is going through can never be measured by anyone.

“No” He screamed louder and louder as he could feel her soul flying away. Far away from him.

Will he be able to live without her?

Will he be able to move on?

The incomplete love story still held a chance. They will be blessed once more to write their journey. This time, it will be entirely their choice. Nothing can separate them.

Year 2023:-

Running inside the deep forest, she was holding her breath. She is not ready to slow down her track.

"She must be somewhere here." she heard from a long distance. She wiped the sweat on her forehead as she jumped higher than any other could even dream of jumping. She reached a safe spot in her favorite tree.

"I will always be grateful for you." She told the tree as she kissed its branches. Thank god no one caught her even now. She has to meet someone before she gets into real trouble.

The dream felt so real and she could feel the same sweat over her forehead. But the difference was just that she felt like an 8-year-old kid in that dream while she was now a grown-up woman.

She acknowledged that it was just a dream as she hugged her pillow again to get into a deep slumber. Or else who would jump like that in real life?

The sun shone across her face as she threw the pillow towards the window with a huge frown. It was not needed to wake her up so soon, right?

But the loud ringing of her mobile made her groan loudly. What the hell is wrong with these people? She sat in her bed as she attended the call and kept her mobile so far away from her ear. For a fact, she knew that the first two minutes would be filled with so many lectures.

"You idiot. Sleepyhead, bull, lazy girl, what's the use of ten alarms if you are going to wake up by my call only?" Alina's loud voice made Angel rub her eyes swiftly. Did all the ten alarms go off already?

"I will come, darling. Please. Don't get mad." Angel sat there in her bed wide awake.

"You better be here at sharp 8. Or else I will pluck your eyes from your face. You won't have your eyes to sleep peacefully next time." Alina yelled again and hung up the call as Angel woke up with a frown.

How is it her mistake? She thought that it was her first alarm of 5'o o'clock whereas in reality, it was her last alarm of 7:30. Damn she didn't even hear those first 10 alarm sounds and that's why she was mistaken.

"Angel, five minutes. If you are not here," Alina yelled again in the call and Angel stepped on the accelerator in response. She can't get on the bad books of her friend, Alina early in the morning. She has a full day to do that.

"Are you nuts?" Nick, her other friend, grabbed the phone from Alina with a huge frown.

"Angel, speed should be just thirty. You can take your time and reach. But you will not speed up." Nick gave a warning with a soft tone and Angel could only smile at her caring friend. Her friends are her world and she can't live without them.

Angel hung up the call.

Alina grabbed the mobile with a stern face.

"You can't yell at her like this. Don't you remember her driving? What if she gets into another accident?" Nick is now mad at Alina. The mere mention of that accident made Nick stammer. He can't imagine what would happen if Angel got into that sort of accident again.

"Let her come here, I will eat her all alive," Alina spoke through her gritted teeth and Nick could only sigh in response.

"Wow, I too want a bite." Jason jumped from nowhere with a huge grin on his face as soon as he heard about food. They can't eat it without him, right? Moreover, it's something alive.

"Let's arrange the lighting there." Alina walked to the stage side to see the arrangement as Jason's face fell with her uninterested look.

"That's not good manners to eat alone," Jason added with a pout and Nick followed Alina there so that he didn't get influenced by Jason's madness anymore.

Angel gasped loudly as her car crushed some two-wheeler there. She came out and found it so calm in that street. There was no one in the street whom she could ask about this damaged two-wheeler now.

She saw a number there and dialed it immediately.

"Hello," someone said on the call.

"Who the hell parks his vehicle in the middle of the road like this?" Angel barked in the call as the person from the other end had a hard time adjusting to the sudden invitation to fight.

Damon Augustine. As name as fame. He often loses his vehicles here and there as he leaves the city but no one has the guts to talk to him like this. If they see his bike, they would try to be friends with him for sure given the latest model of the bike.

But Angel is Angel. She didn't even look properly at the bike.

"Don't tell me that you crushed my bike?" Damon asked calmly, still his eyes closed in deep sleep.

"If your bike is too precious to you, you wouldn't have abandoned them like this. At least I have the courtesy to call to inform you. Anyways, come and collect the parts. I have kept a few dollars for damage coverage." With that, Angel hung up the call as Damon sat there wide awake. Damn, what just happened?

In his 800+ years, he has never been taunted and mocked like this. Everyone could feel some strange aura around him and always prefer to stay away. But this girl called him directly only to crush his ego

Damon is definitely not going to leave this matter.

Angel reached the place after half an hour of fast driving. She even bumped into the gate while she got out of her car. Her left arm was slightly scratched because of the car door.

Alina crossed her arms in a dominating way as her stare was burning Angel alive. Angel bowed her head in acceptance. She can't argue and get into another round of fights with her friend.

"Now will you stop firing me? Let's focus on our event" Angel pouted cutely so that her friend gets melted but Alina is not the type to melt down easily.

Nick grabbed both the ladies to the corner as the event started already. They looked around and were so proud that they had arranged everything so perfectly.

The stage was decorated like heaven while the lights they used there glittered so brightly. Right from the color of the theme to the sound system, everyone is impressed to be a part of this lavish event.

"They didn't spend a lot." One of the men commented.

"It is not less than any celebrity party though." Another one offended the statement.

But everyone has the same view when it comes to complimenting the efforts. They did a wonderful job.

"Everyone should choose us to manage their events. Our small startup should shine with this event." Angel beamed as she looked at all the members of the party. They are surely big shots and it is a big opportunity for them to be there.

Alina, Angel, Nick, and Jason were childhood buddies and they did their graduation together. They had the same dream to start a business and they finalized this as everyone as an individual has a specialty and as a team, they could manage any event just like that.

"We did our best. Just keep faith in god" Nick side-hugged Angel with a glitter of hope in his eyes. Alina is just silent with so many worries on her face.

"I don't know about our future. But I just hope that the stage won't crash down because of the cheap wood we used there." There comes the most pessimistic person, Jason with his worried expression.

Nick, Alina, and Angel turned their face slowly to Jason's side with a grim expression.

"If you can't give us strength, stay quiet. I don't want to clarify your doubts or anything." Alina gritted her teeth and Jason kept his finger in his mouth. He can't anger the lady Hitler in their group.

"How about we just relax and try to taste that new food item that we finalized at the last moment?" Angel asked as her twinkling eyes didn't leave the side of the food counter. She didn't even wait for her friend to give any reply as she grabbed the tray of starters and relished them, closing her eyes. Wow, that tastes like heaven.

The event ended on a happy note as Alina, Nick, Jason, and Angel came out with so many cards in their hand. That was wonderful. They had a huge smile on their lips.

"But what's this?" Nick asked, grabbing the left arm of Angel who was horrified with how he noticed such a small scratch from this length. She slowly looked at Alina and gulped visibly.

"If you touch your car again, I will kill you with my bare hands." Alina gave a final verdict as she snatched the keys from Angel like a heartless warden of a hostel. Angel pouted with tears in her eyes. She begged her to give them back but no use. At last, she gave up as she walked with them with her head low.

The walk was filled with silence. The little scratch on her arm made them remember the worst day of their life. Angel trembled slightly with the mere glimpse of that day.

"Do you all remember that night?" Angel asked in a low choked voice as they all halted near the entrance as they shifted to that night.

It was so scary even to recall that night. Angel stumbled with the effect as Alina gripped her hand for support.

What happened that night?
