A year later.
I was in the secret garden, sitting by the pool. The water was still, and the only thing disrupting the silence was birds singing to each other.
Everyone had someone for them in the world. It took patience to find that special person.
The grave next to the cottage was no longer new, but I came there almost every day to express my gratitude to the person who had saved my life. Spending time at the grave every day was not enough to say thank you, but it was my own small way.
