Chapter 67
The first blow came unexpectedly. It started as a simple pain that started from my belly and spread to my hips, something bearable compared to what I had previously felt. But when the second blow came, I had to sit up in bed and hold my bulging stomach with one hand while the other wrapped around the sheets.
I pressed my eyes shut until I started to see red dots behind my eyelids.
It hurt so much that I wanted to hurt another part of my body so that that spot on my belly would stop demanding my attention. I moaned out loud when I couldn't take it.
Then everything quieted down, leaving me agitated and momentarily panting; my breathing was irregular and I knew from experience that this type of pain came in parts. I got up quickly and took a few steps to the bathroom, I was about to throw water on my face when the pain attacked again.
